Dr. Wael Abd El Ghany

Dr. Wael Abd El Ghany is the HSE Director for all Non-Haramain Projects at Saudi Binladin Group (SBG), with over 28 years of leadership experience in HSE, operations, and risk management across the MENA region. His expertise spans high-risk sectors including oil & gas, construction, and power generation, with specialized focus on process safety, HSE culture transformation, and compliance with international lender standards such as IFC, EBRD, and ADB.

Dr. Wael holds a Ph.D. in Occupational Health, is NEBOSH and OSHA certified, and is a DNV-approved ISO lead auditor. He has worked across more than 12 countries, led major safety initiatives, and published articles in SPE and academic journals. A member of ASSP, he previously served as Egypt Chapter VP and Region IX Chair of Awards.
