Husain Almakrami

Dr. Husain Almakrami is a renewable energy expert with more than 13 years of experience in the energy sector. He has previously worked as an engineer for Saudi Aramco (oil & gas) and Sadara Chemical Company (Petrochemicals). He currently works as a Renewable Energy consultant and Assistant Professor at Confidential Governmental entity. He is a member of the energy efficiency committee and renewable energy center. He has a tremendous experience working with PV solar cell, Dye-sensitized solar cells, perovskite solar cells, and storage. He has strong interests in renewable energy solutions and its impact on climate change and greenhouse gases.

Dr. Almakrami holds a Ph.D. in renewable energy engineering from Umass Lowell; his Ph.D. research work focused on design and testing a Photoelectrochemical Solar Cell with built-in Storage Capability for simultaneous power generation and storage. He holds a US patent and has published a number of scientific journals. He is also a certified PV installer by SEC.
