H.E. Christophe Farnaud

H.E. Christophe FARNAUD currently serves as the European Union Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with non-resident accreditation to Bahrain and Oman, since September 2023. A seasoned diplomat, he brings over three decades of extensive experience in international relations and diplomacy. Prior to his current role, he was the Special Envoy of the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and formerly served as Director General for the Middle East and North Africa. His distinguished career includes ambassadorial postings in South Africa, Greece, and senior advisory roles to multiple French Ministers and Prime Ministers. He has also held leadership roles in the private sector, notably as Vice-President for Africa at THALES Group. His diplomatic journey has taken him across key geopolitical regions, with prior assignments in Jordan, Egypt, and on the Middle East Peace Process, reflecting a deep commitment to fostering global cooperation and regional stability.
