Dr. Maad Alowaifeer

Maad Alowaifeer is an Assistant Professor jointly appointed in the Electrical Engineering and Industrial & Systems Engineering Departments at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He also directs the SDAIA–KFUPM Joint Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and the KFUPM AI Skill Up Program. Maad holds two MSc degrees one in Electrical Engineering from KFUPM and another in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech)—and earned his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. His research focuses on optimization, neural networks, and AI for critical infrastructure.
